BN rancang 66 ribu ceramah terang Aku Janji

-TMI

  11. One thing is clear from the Barisan Nasional manifesto the Prime Minister has been listening and making notes.

As political analyst Professor Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia pointed out, many of the pledges in A Promise of Hope address the concerns and grouses people have been expressing in the last five years.

    ReplyDelete
  12. “You can see the PM (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) knows what people want. A lot of the points in the manifesto are what he has collected from the ground through various media and when he went around to meet the rakyat,” said Prof Shamsul.

Calling it a doable and realistic manifesto, Dr Shamsul said it focused on concrete plans that would have direct impact on the people.

    ReplyDelete
  13. “An example is the proposed increase for BR1M (1Malaysia People's Aid); it has a direct impact on the poor and needy, as opposed to the usual subsidies which benefit everybody, even the rich.”

This contrasts with the 2008 Barisan manifesto themed Security, Peace and Prosperity which stated a broader overview of the coalition's policies.

    ReplyDelete
  14. “The GE13 manifesto provides a clear and definitive plan on how they will achieve their pledges. Even where there are macro-policies and ideas, you can see that there is a workplan and budget behind them,” he said, adding that this was the difference when you have someone well-versed in economics at the helm.

    ReplyDelete
  15. “It's important. A prime minister with an economic sense is more advantageous to the country than a prime minister without an economic sense and who has to rely on his advisers on economic issues,” noted Dr Shamsul.

Ultimately, he added, the new manifesto gave a track record of Barisan's achievements in the last five years.

    ReplyDelete
  16. “It's a detailed list of what they have done, what they will continue to do and what they want to do for the future.

“In a sense, you could put this manifesto up your wall and check five years later if these promises have been kept or not.

“You can't do that with the last manifesto. There was no idea on what had been done and what will be done,” he said.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This was a risk that Najib had taken, said Dr Shamsul, adding: “It shows he wants to be accountable for what he promises to do.”

Unlike the old-style manifesto where governance and civil liberty issues are vaguely pledged in rhetoric language, the new manifesto had broken them into tangible areas, Dr Shamsul opined.

    ReplyDelete
  18. “Human rights issues and environmental problems are not given an overt focus, so some might say that what is mentioned like renewable energy and preservation of our forests, for example, are mere lip service.

“But if you study the manifesto carefully, you can see that there is actually a work plan for the pledges made.”

    ReplyDelete
  29. BN spend money uncontrollable.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Antara manakah manifesto yang benar boleh ditunaikan?

    ReplyDelete
  31. They can spend any money just to retain in power. The country is heading to bankrupt.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Pembangkang mendakwa manisfesto BN meniru pembangkang.

  62. The Barisan Nasional government has contributed tremendously to the development of Chinese education and will continue to help Chinese primary schools if returned to power on May 5.

    ReplyDelete

  63. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he, as Finance Minister since 2009, had set aside RM100 million for SJK(C) every year while granting extra funds to certain Chinese primary schools.

    ReplyDelete
  64. “The salaries and bonus of teachers of SJK(C) are paid by the government and their running costs are borne by the government too. The government had special roundtable discussion to look into the shortage of teachers and I believe the issue has been resolved.

    ReplyDelete
  65. “Xiamen University is the first Chinese university to set up overseas campus, and will be constructed in Nilai. We also gave permission to New Era College to be upgraded to university college, and UEC holders to enrol for teachers’ training.

    ReplyDelete

  66. “We have done a lot for Chinese education, making us the only country outside China and Taiwan to be so accommodating and liberal in helping Chinese schools,” he said at the ground-breaking ceremony for a new block at Chung Hua Primary School No.2 in Tabuan Jaya 2 here yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Najib hoped that the young generation would remember and appreciate what the “present government” had accomplished for Chinese education in the country.

    ReplyDelete

  68. “I know a Chinese proverb which says, whenever you drink water from the well, do not forget the person who dug the well.

    ReplyDelete

  69. “It is meant to remind people to always remember somebody who has done a good deed for you. And the present government has done a good deed for Chinese education.”

    ReplyDelete

  70. He pointed out that the opposition “does not have the platform” to deliver promises and serve the people as DAP and PAS shared different ideas while PKR only had premiership in mind.

    ReplyDelete

  71. “The Malays and Bumiputeras cannot accept DAP’s policies and the Chinese cannot accept PAS’ policies. In Kelantan and Perak, PAS interferes in their daily life and there are so many restrictions.

    ReplyDelete

  72. “This shows that they do not work as a pact. Only Barisan Nasional can work closely to meet the people’s needs.”

    ReplyDelete

  73. He thus urged Sarawakians to think wisely before casting their votes, adding that they should not be swayed by the simple slogan of ‘Ubah’.

    ReplyDelete
  74. “Be careful of experiment because when a wrong experiment occurs, this beautiful country will go down the drain. Barisan Nasional’s polices are working very well, so why risk the prosperity we have.”

    ReplyDelete
  75. Najib said he was pleased to see as many as 4,000 BN supporters donning the ‘I Love PM’
T- shirts, and called on them to vote for BN-SUPP’s candidates for Stampin, Datuk Yong Khoon Seng and Bandar Kuching, Tan Kai come May 5.

    ReplyDelete
  76. “If you like Ah Jib Gor, then support Barisan Nasional and Datuk Yong Khoon Seng. I will make Datuk Yong a more effective MP in this area.

    ReplyDelete
  77. “All of you here wear ‘I Love PM’ T-shirts, so do support Barisan Nasional. And do not worry about this building (the new school block) as it is only a small matter. We can negotiate, but after May 5. I want Datuk Yong to continue being the MP for Stampin.”

    ReplyDelete

  78. Earlier, Yong appealed to voters in Stampin to support him, saying: “If you love PM, it means you can love me a bit as I am picked by PM. So vote for me in Stampin.”

    ReplyDelete
  79. Chairman of the Board of Management for Chung Hua Primary Schools No.1 to 6, Dr Chou Chii Ming said the board still fell short of RM5 million to meet the project cost of the new school building.
