Lagi Pegawai Tentera Sertai PKR

  4. Sebenarnya kalau SPR benar2 adil dan bukan talian hayat BN dlm mana2 PRU dan tiada pnjualan ic/warga negara kpd warga asing spt yg dah UMNO lakukan...tak perlu pon mana2 peg pencen masuk PR. Memang BN kecundang lama dah dr peta politik negara. Bebas dan adil kerajaan UMNO, cepat le mereka tombang. Sebab tu mereka kena ikhtiar 100% utk kesinambungan pentadbrian mereka.

  5. Pengerusi Barisan Nasional (BN) Melaka Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam meminta penjawat awam, khususnya pihak berkuasa tempatan (PBT), mempertahankan kerajaan BN pada pilihan raya umum ini.

    ReplyDelete

  9. Some 150 Parti Keadilan Rakyat members from its Merbau Pulas branch left the party to join Umno tonight

Former Padang Serai PKR deputy chief Johari Teh cited the power struggle within the party as one of the main reasons why he and others quit the party.

    ReplyDelete
  10. “The sex scandals, the state’s failure to fulfil its promises in Kedah and especially here in Merbau Pulas had led us to lose confidence in the PKR leadership,” he said at a function in Kampung Beka tonight.

He said one of the problems PKR failed to solve was rampant sand-mining in Merbau Pulas.

    ReplyDelete
  11. "The activities continued despite protests from the locals. We brought the issue to the state government but there was no feedback," said Johari.

He said the party had promised the locals plenty but did not fulfil them.

    ReplyDelete
  12. "Even people like us at branch level were not given any respect or fair treatment,” said Johari, who was a staunch Pas supporter before joining PKR and helping them clinch the Padang Serai seat in 2008.

Johari said he is confident that Umno will win Padang Serai this election.

    ReplyDelete
  13. "From our readings, PKR’s candidate for Padang Serai N. Surendran stands no chance here as he isn’t a local,” said Johari.

    ReplyDelete
  14. On his next move, Johari said he and the other ex-PKR members will set up an Umno branch in Kampung Beka, a former PKR stronghold.

    ReplyDelete
  15. "With this I can safely say that there are no more PKR members or supporters here in the village," said Johari.

    ReplyDelete
  16. He said more PKR members in Sungai Karangan, Bukit Karangan and Taman Bunga Raya in Padang Serai constituency will also cross-over to BN soon.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Also present at the function were Padang Serai Umno deputy chief Bakri Hashim and several other senior members.

    ReplyDelete
  18. More PKR members will jump ship to join BN before the next general elections.

  39. Malaysia's long-governing coalition has won national elections with a weakened majority to extend its unbroken, 56-year rule, fending off the strongest opposition it has ever faced but exposing vulnerabilities in the process.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wearing a bright blue shirt and a grim expression, Prime Minister Najib Razak appeared before the media early Monday to sombrely acknowledge that his coalition had won general elections for the 13th time in a row.

    ReplyDelete
  41. He had reason to be cheerless. The National Front coalition's victory in Sunday's parliamentary elections despite losing the popular vote has not only exposed the entrenched racial divide in the country but also a new schism — between the rural poor who preferred the status quo and the urban middle-class who wanted change.

  43. Healing the divisions will be a big challenge for Najib, who took the oath of office Monday to begin his second five-year term after surviving the fiercest challenge to the National Front's 56-year rule. If left untended, the racial and social divisions could undermine the stability of Southeast Asia's third-largest economy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. On the face of it, the National Front appears to have done well. It won 133 seats in the 222-member parliament — down a fraction from the 135 it won in 2008. The opposition People's Alliance coalition led by Anwar Ibrahim won 89 seats. But look deeper and the numbers carry a grim story for Najib:

    ReplyDelete

  45. The National Front polled 5.22 million votes to the opposition's 5.49 million votes, according to calculations by the Malaysian Insider, an independent news website.

    ReplyDelete

  46. The National Front banked heavily on three states with large rural populations — Sarawak, Sabah and Johor — where many people from indigenous groups and the ethnic Malay majority are beholden to the government for handouts traditionally given to them. The three states alone, out of Malaysia's 13, accounted for more than half of the 133 seats won.

    ReplyDelete

  47. People in many urban areas — especially Chinese who are Malaysia's second largest ethnic group — voted overwhelmingly for the opposition, reflecting the huge disenchantment with the government's affirmative action policies that favour Malays.

    ReplyDelete

  48. Speaking at the news conference, Najib blamed a "Chinese tsunami" for the coalition's performance.

    ReplyDelete

  49. "On the whole, the people's decision this time shows a trend of voting polarization," Najib said. "This worries the government, because if it's not handled well, it could spark tension."

    ReplyDelete
  50. Malaysia's re-elected Prime Minister Najib Razak said his government will embark on a national reconciliation program after polling results showed voting along racial lines.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Razak, whose Barisan Nasional -- National Front -- party won 133 of the 222 seats in Parliament, said there were "very unhealthy sentiments," some racial, expressed during the election, a report by Malaysia's national news agency Bernama said.

    ReplyDelete

  52. Razak, 59, said his party will focus on moderate and accommodating policies for the entire country and will reject racist and religious extremism.

    ReplyDelete
  53. "We want the people to realize that for the sake of the country, moderate policies should be accepted as our national policy," Razak told a news conference after the Election Commission announced BN had secured a simple majority in the weekend polling.

  54. BN is a loose coalition of more than 13 small and regional political parties that was formed in 1973.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It was the party's 13th consecutive general election victory since Malaysia gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1957.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Throughout its 56 years in power, BN has held as much as 90 percent of parliamentary seats in the country of 28 million people with Islamic, Chinese, Indian and Western cultures.

    ReplyDelete
  57. But the latest election result was much lower than the two-thirds of Parliamentary seats for which BN officials were aiming, Bernama said.

  58. Wanita Barisan Nasional (BN) has called on women leaders and members in the opposition pact and non-governmental organisations (NGO) to work together to ensure success of the national reconciliation programme.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Its chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, said the time for politicking had passed and it was now time for all quarters to cooperate to make national reconciliation mooted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, a reality.

    ReplyDelete
  60. "I'm asking all Malaysian people to stop fighting about politics. As Wanita BN chief, I sincerely extend my hands to all women in the opposition pact and the NGO so that we can work closely together to ensure success of the national reconciliation programme," she told reporters here today.

    ReplyDelete

  61. Shahrizat said Wanita BN would start going to the ground to meet with the people to ensure national reconciliation among all races, political and religious beliefs could be implemented for the sake of peace and harmony in Malaysia.

    ReplyDelete
  62. "Women can play their roles. Each house must have a woman, a mother at least, they can start the national reconciliation efforts at home," she said.
