- BERNAMA

ReplyDeleteSabah Barisan Nasional component parties have been urged to remain united and steadfast, and must not be afraid to rebuke the opposition for their lies and slander against the government.
ReplyDeleteChief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman said this when addressing a gathering of BN component leaders and supporters at the Sabah Umno building here yesterday.
ReplyDelete“The BN election machinery must be in a strong position, united and ready to take on the opposition in the coming general election.
ReplyDelete“We must strengthen our spirit, prepare and organise our machinery together in an orderly manner. We must not be complacent,” he stressed.
ReplyDeleteMusa who is also Sabah BN and Umno chief reminded all BN components to respect the decision on candidacy, saying there should not be any bickering over who has been picked as candidates but instead should work together to ensure victory for all BN candidates.
ReplyDeleteAnd, he also advised BN components to avoid internal squabbles or misunderstanding as it would result in disunity among party members.
ReplyDeleteHe even cited the Malay proverb of “buang yang keroh, ambil yang jernih” which literally meant remove the dirty ones and take only the clean.
ReplyDeleteHence, he reiterated BN must be together as one to face the opposition in the upcoming general election which was considered the most crucial as well as very important for the future of the people and country.
ReplyDeleteHe added that BN has a remarkable track record that saw many development projects and programmes being implemented for the benefit of the people over the last 50 years.
ReplyDeleteIn this respect, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has channelled multi-million allocations for Sabah to develop the education, security, health and agriculture sectors and also to boost the rural economy in the State.
ReplyDeleteThe Chief Minister also urged the people not to gamble on their future solely for the personal interest of certain leaders.
ReplyDelete“Do not make a mistake in selecting your representatives. Do not place your future on the opposition leaders who have no track record, who are opportunists and make only empty promises,” he said.
ReplyDeleteMusa meanwhile praised the Prime Minister, saying he had already proven his ability to govern the country well in just three years after taking over the helm of the country.
ReplyDeleteHe said this was evidenced by the various programmes introduced for the benefit of the people including the 1Malaysia concept, Government Transformation Programme (GTP), Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), National Key Result Areas (NKRA) and National Key Economic Areas (NKEA).
ReplyDeleteIn addition, he said the Federal government also introduced the 1Malaysia Clinic, 1Malaysia People’s Shop, 1Malaysia People’s Menu, 1Malaysia People’s Welfare Programme and the 1Malaysia People’s Trust Scheme.
ReplyDeleteThe BN government, he assured, would continue to implement more development projects and fulfil its promise to develop the whole of Sabah.
ReplyDelete“The recognition accorded by a visiting foreign leader recently, who was so impressed with the progress, prosperity and harmony of our people, also spoke volume of the BN government’s efforts and achievements.
ReplyDelete“Therefore, all BN leaders, from grassroots leaders to the community leaders must go down to the people to explain and inform them of the actual situation – that the BN government has always been concerned of their wellbeing. We have the facts and figures to support our claims,” Musa said.
ReplyDeleteLater, Musa presented letters of appointment to heads of the BN operation for the 25 parliamtary constituencies in the State.
ReplyDeleteOver 1,000 Sabah BN leaders, members and supporters attended the gathering.
