PBS Punca Kemunduran Dan Kemiskinan Sabah?

Sebaliknya USNO masih lagi mampu membela kepentingan bumiputera Islam.

Salam Hormat,

MOHD DANIAL ADULLAH

    ReplyDelete
  9. “Nobody in Sabah has ever died from starvation.

“If we are the poorest state, then we should have plenty of beggars and people dying from starvation. Never have I heard of such a thing.” said Musa, adding that, diabetes and high blood pressure were on the rise instead.

    ReplyDelete
  10. “Don’t come to Sabah and talk like you know us so well. As Sabahans, we know our state better than you.”

“We’ve (Sabah) come a long way in terms of improvement yet Selangor is now deteriorating. They don’t even have water,” he said.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  12. “I understand that we are still lacking in some aspects, but what’s important is that we are aware of this and we are taking steps to resolve every issue,” he said.

  31. Sabah semakin maju, hanya pembangkang sahaja mengatakan Sabah semakin mundur.

  32. Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) President Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan today advised party members and supporters to be prepared for a change in the party leadership "when the time comes".

    ReplyDelete
  33. Likening PBS to a diamond, he said it was necessary to safeguard the party as best as possible for the common good.

    ReplyDelete
  34. "Practically speaking, age is catching up with me and the time will come for me to take a rest (from the political arena). As such, we have to face this situation and strengthen the party together," the 72-year-old Pairin said at the opening of the PBS Youth and PBS Wanita assemblies in conjunction with the 27th PBS Congress at the Dewan Putra Luyang, near here.

    ReplyDelete
  35. On Sept 22, Pairin was reported as saying that the upcoming 13th General Election would be the last in which he would contest. The Sabah deputy chief minister had cited exhaustion as the reason for him to want to arrive at such a decision.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Pairin, who is the MP for Keningau and state assemblyman for Tambunan, became active in politics in 1975.

    ReplyDelete
  37. In his speech, he also urged members of PBS Youth and PBS Wanita to go down to the ground to be close to the people and find out their problems.

    ReplyDelete
  38. He advised them to remain united and cooperate with the youth and women's wings of the other Barisan Nasional component parties to strengthen the BN machinery for the next general election.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Meanwhile, PBS deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said the party had never changed its stand of being critical on matters that needed to be rectified or corrected.

    ReplyDelete
  40. "We continue to listen to the voice of the people at the grassroots and have never been scared to speak for them, truthfully and boldly," he told Bernama.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ongkili, who is Federal Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, said PBS had also networked well with the other BN component parties and consulted key partners regularly with regard to political developments in the country.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Asked to comment on the significance of the three-day PBS Congress which kicked off with the party's youth and women's wings meetings today, Ongkili said that since PBS returned to the BN "we have persistently maintained our approach of being vocal in voicing matters that are of interest to the welfare of the people, especially for Malaysians in Sabah, including matters pertaining to state rights, illegal immigration, problem of NCR (Native Customary Rights) land and religious matters".

    ReplyDelete
  43. He said that despite being vocal, PBS, being a multi-racial party, differed from other parties in that it was sensitive to the need for moderation and rejected approaches that were racial in nature.

    ReplyDelete
  44. "This is the 27th congress and PBS has been maturing by the year.

We see that over the years since we returned to BN our membership has increased to 160,000, especially during the 1PBS membership drive initiated two years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  45. "We have also recruited a lot of members from among the younger generation as well as enhanced the administration of the party at the headquarters level, especially with the use of ICT.

    ReplyDelete
  46. "Such tools have helped us communicate better with the grassroots and to transfer information to and fro, from top to down and to the headquarters," he said.

    ReplyDelete
  47. On the future of PBS, Ongkili said that after 27 years the party was in need of younger blood to take it to greater heights.

    ReplyDelete
  48. "We need to do more training among the youths and women and make them appreciate the struggle of the party and the direction that the party and BN ought to be heading in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  49. "Old timers like myself should be looking for younger people to replace and continue the struggle, both in my area and within the supreme council," Ongkili said.

    ReplyDelete
  50. "A party can only be strong when there is renewal within the system, to infuse creativity, strength and vision."

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  72. PBS is the source of underdevelopment and poverty in Sabah is not true at all.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Datuk Joseph Pairin Kitingan has vowed to use his vast administrative experience to help realise the government's objective of eradicating poverty in Sabah, particularly in the rural areas.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Pairin, who is also State Rural Development Minister, said he had a tough task ahead but was confident the poverty rate could be reduced significantly in the next five years.

    ReplyDelete
  75. It is achievable through concerted efforts by the state and federal governments.

    ReplyDelete
  76. "Poverty eradication is a very important and noble cause both by the state and federal governments. He said.

    ReplyDelete
  77. That's why it is my agenda to meet my federal counterpart to discuss things, especially on how to eradicate poverty. Pairin promises.

    ReplyDelete
  78. "As you know, Prime Minister has said that his priority is to overcome and eradicate poverty and second is education.

    ReplyDelete
  79. "This is very important because the government's ultimate aim is to see our citizens get jobs and that poor people will be assisted to increase their level of income," he said.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Pairin, the former Chief Minister, said he was happy with his role in the government, and would do his level best to assist the masterplan of the state government.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Musa had prioritised agriculture, manufacturing and tourism sectors as the main revenue earners to the state's coffer.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Pairin acknowledged the important role other colleagues and non-governmental organisations could play in the matter.

    ReplyDelete
  83. "This is a role I have to play now because it is part and parcel of the services to the people, the state and the country.

    ReplyDelete
  84. "Every ministry has a role to play and we try to play our part well," he said.

    ReplyDelete
  85. PBS has always been committed to resolve the poverty problem in the state since the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Their commitment still remains the same after joining BN.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Sabah cannot afford the luxury of experimental politics that could derail its economic progress as Malaysia moves towards becoming a high-income nation within the decade.

    ReplyDelete

  88. “That is why it is essential for PBS to ensure that BN is returned to power with a healthy two-thirds majority in the coming general election,” said PBS information chief and Pantai Manis division head, Datuk Johnny Mositun.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Addressing the PBS Bongawan Division Annual General Meeting at the Dewan Mositun here yesterday, Mositun, who is also State Assembly Deputy Speaker said the BN needed a two-thirds majority in both the State Assembly and Parliament to govern effectively and pursue its development goals without obstruction.

    ReplyDelete
  90. “Political strength is essential when difficult decisions have to be made and policies implemented to keep the nation united and on course. Malaysia has to face so many uncertainties on the global and domestic fronts, and we cannot afford to be ‘experimenting’ with our domestic politics, especially now,” he pointed out.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Mositun also said the BN was an inclusive coalition of political parties that gave ethnic communities, including the KDM representation in policy-making and governance of the country.

    ReplyDelete
  92. He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak fully acknowledged the importance of Sabah and the KDM community.

    ReplyDelete
  93. “This is reflected in the composition of the Federal Cabinet. Of the three Sabahan Federal Ministers, two are KDM (Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili and Tan Sri Bernard Dompok). Another KDM, Tan Sri Joseph Kurup, is a Deputy Federal Minister. A Sabahan, Datuk Rahim Bakri, is Deputy Federal Minister of Transport and the Attorney General is also a Sabahan,” he said.

    ReplyDelete
  94. In fact, with Datuk Anifah Aman as Foreign Minister and Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin as Deputy Health Minister as well as Datuk V K Liew as a Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Sabah’s high representation in the Federal Cabinet was unprecedented.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Mositun also said Sabahans, in particular the KDM, would lose all this if the opposition came into power because its main objective was to make Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim the Prime Minister.

    ReplyDelete
  96. “That is all the opposition wants. They will make all sorts of promises to get support for this mission, but once that is achieved all these promises will be forgotten,” Mositun said.

    ReplyDelete
  97. And, urging PBS members to continue supporting the state government, he said the re-delineation of electoral constituencies would take place next year.

    ReplyDelete
  98. “After meeting several high-ranking EC (Elections Commission) officers here and in Kuala Lumpur I have been given to understand that Sabah will get some additional new constituencies.

    ReplyDelete
  99. “I have put forward my view that the recent emergence of big industries and rapid population growth along the West Coast justifies the creation of several new constituencies between Papar and Sipitang,” Mositun said.

    ReplyDelete
  100. However, he said the creation of new constituencies should not be based on ethnicity alone but rather the overall population and geography of the locality, among other things.

    ReplyDelete
  101. “The important thing is for the electoral constituencies to enable a balanced and equitable representation of Sabahans based on the overall demography of the state,” he said.

    ReplyDelete

  102. Mositun meanwhile said he was concerned about the rise in complaints about road traffic situation in Papar in the wake of rapid industrialisation at Kimanis and Sipitang.

    ReplyDelete
  103. “The volume of traffic has increased tremendously in recent years, and there are daily traffic jams at the entrance to Papar town near the old railway bridge.

    ReplyDelete
  104. “I hope the state government will take up my suggestion for a diversionary road from near the Pengalat-Dambai junction and an additional bridge over the Papar River.

“This will ease the daily bottleneck at the awkward roundabout which is the entry to Papar town itself. Additionally I suggest that the state government treat calls for upgrading the Kinarut-Pengalat-Papar road to a dual carriageway as a matter of urgency,” Mositun said.

    ReplyDelete

  105. Also present yesterday were new PBS Bongawan chief, Jitim Abak @ Johan and supreme council members, Ali Zaman, Merchal Dibang and Masilus Roman.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan is confident that the winds of change in Sabah politics are more favourable for Barisan Nasional (BN) this time than in the last general election in 2008.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Pairin, who is Sabah Deputy Chief Minister, said the confidence was based on BN leadership's excellent performance whether at the state or federal level, with the impact felt by the people everywhere and at all levels.

    ReplyDelete
  108. "The current BN leaders clearly want to serve and strive for the people, with proper planning, more so under the leadership of the prime minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) who has employed sound approaches.

    ReplyDelete

  109. "The approaches are not only clear and good, but the actions taken also show thorough planning. We are aware that the prime minister and his cabinet members are working non-stop to overcome the problems faced by the people.

    ReplyDelete

  110. "And all levels of society are enjoying the fruit of labour," he said after opening the Royal Customs of Malaysia Directors' Meeting, here, Wednesday, on behalf of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
