Penduduk: Polis kawal ketat jalan ke Semporna

Penduduk sekitar Semporna, Sabah berkata polis meningkatkan kawalan keselamatan di kawasan berkenaan susulan serangan hendap yang mengorbankan dua orang anggota keselamatan pada malam tadi.

Seorang penduduk bandar Semporna yang dihubungi Malaysiakini berkata jalan menuju ke kawasan berkenaan kini dikawal ketat pasukan keselematan yang menyekat lalu lintas.

Beliau berhasrat untuk pulang ke Semporna dari Lahad Datu namun membatalkan hasrat itu atas nasihat pasukan keselamatan, kata surirumah tersebut, yang menambah beliau kemudiannya terpaksa berpatah balik ke Lahad Datu pada malam tadi.

Wanita berkenaan, 40-an, berkata beliau kini bimbang memandangkan pihak yang bertempur dengan pihak keselamatan Malaysia itu masih tidak dikenalpasti.

“Kami bimbang ini adalah kerja kumpulan yang sama (dengan penceroboh Lahad Datu),” katanya ketika dihubungi melalui Facebook pada malam tadi.

Sementara itu, seorang pekerja penghantar barang ketika dihubungi berkata beliau juga dihalang di satu sekatan jalan raya apabila cuba memasuki Semporna pagi ini.

“Kenderaan di dalam tak boleh keluar, kenderaan di luar tak boleh masuk. Tapi boleh masuk kalau jalan kaki (tidak menggunakan kenderaan),” kata lelaki tersebut, 44 tahun, ketika dihubungi.

Polis hari ini mengesahkan lima anggota polis terkorban dalam serang hendap kumpulan bersenjata di Kampung Seri Jaya Siminul, Semporna, Sabah dalam kejadian petang semalam.

Serang hendap oleh kumpulan tersebut berlaku susulan pertempuran di antara pihak keselamatan negara dengan kumpulan penceroboh bersenjata di Lahad Datu yang mendakwa sebagai tentera Kesultanan Sulu dari Filipina.

Seramai 12 orang kumpulan penceroboh berkenaan dan dua anggota komando polis terkorban dalam pertempuran pada hari Jumaat lalu. -MK

  1. PDRM juga masih membisu berhubung laporan penculikan Inspektor Azra, sekalipun keluarganya tidak menafikan kemungkinan beliau diculik adalah positif kerana tidak dapat mengesan beliau sejak semalam.

    Kesimpulan:
    APA GAMBARAN SEBENAR YG BOLEH KITA SIMPULKAN MNGENAI GAYA KEPIMPINAN UMNO/BN UTK MNJAGA KEDAULATAN SABAH ??

Setiausaha Keselamatan Negeri Sabah Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) Jabatan Perdana Menteri Rodzi Md Saad dalam satu kenyataan berasingan berhubung larangan kemasukan ke pulau-pulau di Sabah, berkata MKN Negeri Sabah mengesahkan bahawa tidak ada sebarang larangan untuk memasuki pulau-pulau peranginan di negeri ini.

  49. On Monday, the prime minister announced the creation of the East Sabah Safety Zone (ESSZONE) covering 10 districts - Kudat, Kota Marudu, Pitas, Beluran, Sandakan, Kinabatangan, Lahad Datu, Kunak, Semporna and Tawau.

  50. ESSZONE will be administered by the ESSZONE committee established under the Preservation of Public Security Ordinance 2013 and is chaired by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
