  18. In Australia, a Caretaker Convention has been drafted to outline that the proper role of such a government is to be a night watchman, to hold the fort, not to initiate radical policies, not to dismiss or appoint new judges or undertake significant economic initiatives.

  19. Biarkan mereka itu.

  24. Its good already that the government is assisting the opposition in getting their manifesto being heard publicly.

    ReplyDelete

  37. There is no room for race-based politics which the opposition is trying to use for political mileage in Sabah, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said.

    ReplyDelete

  38. “My message to opposition parties is to stop selling their brand of racial politics that will only create tension in Sabah,” he said at the gathering for Chinese community with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak last night.

    ReplyDelete

  39. The Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman also said the BN government strove to be fair to all and constantly ensured that no one was sidelined.

    ReplyDelete
  40. “The opposition has made many promises, but they will fail to deliver.

    ReplyDelete

  41. “They are divided, and cannot even see eye to eye in the fielding of candidates for the election, unlike the BN whose candidates contest under one banner. Be cautious of what the opposition says and do not be easily swayed by their pledges, which they will fail to fulfill should they come into power.

    ReplyDelete

  42. “Do not sacrifice what we have already built just for the sake of trying something new. I also wish to remind us all to stay united and to cooperate with one another. We come from diverse backgrounds, and each Malaysian is contributing towards shaping the nation. We must respect diversity and accept one another.

    ReplyDelete
  43. “Through 1Malaysia introduced by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Najib, we have a positive environment that allows for people to practise their respective faiths and cultures. Like the Prime Minister says, Sabah is a true reflection of 1Malaysia, and I am confident that we will remain a model for 1Malaysia in years to come,” he said.

    ReplyDelete

  44. “Sabahans look forward to a better Malaysia under BN so they should give their undivided support to Najib and the coalition, which has a proven track record of good governance.

    ReplyDelete

  45. “I am confident that BN will gain a thumping victory in Sabah, and at federal level, allowing us to proceed with the initiatives that we have charted,” he said.

    ReplyDelete

  46. Musa also stressed that the Chinese community in Sabah had always played an important role in building the state and the Malaysian nation, and the state government values highly the contribution of the Chinese community in developing the state, not only through trade and investment, but also in the social and political arenas.

    ReplyDelete

  47. “We are aware that you always give back to society, irrespective of background, through charity projects and relevant initiatives that help lessen the burden of those who need help. In the field of politics, you have always had a strong presence, allowing the community to use this platform to air your grievances and to suggest improvement to policies.

    ReplyDelete

  48. “Let me assure you that the BN government is one that listens and truly cares, and finds solutions to problems or issues that the community faces. This is our commitment, and we promise that the issues you raise will always get our attention.

    ReplyDelete

  49. “The BN government under our beloved Prime Minister is one that walks its talk. We have a proven track record in ensuring the needs of all layers of society are met, irrespective of our beliefs or backgrounds,” Musa added.

    ReplyDelete

  50. He also said it was not BN’s practice to marginalise any community or group, and proof of this was the government’s annual allocation to non-Muslim religious bodies and assistance for Chinese and mission schools.

    ReplyDelete

  51. Musa disclosed that a huge sum was being allocated each year for this purpose by both the federal and state governments, adding that “through the allocation, you are able to improve the condition of places of worship and to carry out your activities.”

    ReplyDelete
  52. “By the same token, Chinese schools continue to flourish in Sabah as a result of the BN government’s commitment to ensuring vernacular schools remain relevant in the country,” Musa said.

    ReplyDelete

  53. Musa also pointed out that the federal government had introduced various initiatives to turn Malaysia into a high income nation by 2020.

    ReplyDelete
  54. As a visionary leader, Najib had unveiled the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), apart from various other related economic programmes. Within four years, these programmes are on track and creating spin-offs including quality jobs and higher income throughout the nation.

    ReplyDelete
  55. “On behalf of the Sabah state government and the people of Sabah, I wish to congratulate Datuk Seri Najib for coming up with progressive initiatives, and for driving them with a team of professionals who have gone around Malaysia to gather feedback in strengthening these programmes.

    ReplyDelete
  56. “Your efforts, Datuk Seri, are starting to bear fruit. Kudos, Sir. We are throwing our full support behind these initiatives, especially the ETP which Sabah is actively participating in through the oil and gas, palm oil and tourism sectors. We are upbeat about what the future holds for Sabah through the ETP and I wish to call on all Malaysians in Sabah to support these initiatives.

    ReplyDelete

  57. “Let me also give our assurance that BN is a business friendly government. We pledge to ensure a conducive investment climate and we will also strive to maintain positive economic growth. This is our commitment to the business community, and this will be done through the implementation of numerous policies and initiatives that are aimed at bringing more development for the people,” he said.

Touching on the security in Sabah, following the unfortunate intrusion in Lahad Datu over two months ago, he said the government responded swiftly, and the situation was now under control and there should be no reason for investors to be worried about their safety and of their business ventures.

“Sabah thanks Yang Amat Berhormat Prime Minister for your prompt action and for setting up the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) following the intrusion. The immediate mobilisation of additional security forces and measures put into place along the entire east coast of Sabah shows that the Prime Minister and the government are commitment towards security and protecting our sovereignty.

“It cannot be denied that economic prosperity we enjoy today is due to political stability and the efficiency of the government administration. I call on the Chinese community in Sabah to keep on backing the present government so that we can bring Sabah and Malaysia to the next level of development.

“Despite our ethnic, religious and cultural diversity, we live in peace and harmony in Sabah. Regardless of background, there is equal opportunity for everyone in gaining a better quality of life,” he said.
